Box clever! Power On, the UK’s leading independent electricity connections provider, commissioned a bespoke version of our A1 substation base (TR7 compatible).

The substation base was installed by Power On at a residential project in Deeside, eliminating 14.6 tonnes of concrete with a carbon saving of 1,839kg CO2e compared to a traditional in-situ base, equating to an impressive 58% carbon reduction.

Once the 3 main precast elements of the FastBase® were in position, the transformer and GRP housing were installed on the same day. The safe installation was completed in under three hours, a huge time-saving in comparison to the usual 3 days for a traditional in-situ base.
